Progressive Care Unit (AKA 4th Floor)

Part Time - 36 hours

(3 - 12 hour shifts per payroll period)

The largest medical facility in the region, Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) includes a full-service hospital with 318 patient beds. It serves as the region's healthcare hub, serving southeast Idaho, western Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park and parts of Montana. Job Type: Part Time

Unit Assignment: Progressive Care Unit (also known as Cardiac Unit or Step Down Unit)

Work Schedule Info:

Mixed Schedule (7 a.m. - 7 p.m.) AND (7 p.m. - 7 a.m.) with rotating weekends (4 week schedule then rotate)

OR

Nights Only (7 p.m. - 7 a.m.) with rotating weekends and holidays

Responsibilities:

*The Patient Care Technician (PCT) delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living.

*Under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), the PCT assists the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the PCT's skills/training and the needs of the Department, and consistently assists the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment.

Qualifications

*CNA
certification with the state - Must be listed on the Idaho State Registry.

*American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life
Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification(offered in New Hire
Orientation)

*Preferred - one year of experience in acute care setting
