FARO is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to work on-site out of our office in Lake Mary, FL who Perform duties to provide quality related metrics reporting and analysis; including evaluating, designing and controlling data sources. Assist in conducting compliance audits and support functional leads in creating/editing their quality related standards and documents, while working within limits of established policies. Responsible for recommending and training on best practices within the Quality Organization and working directly with Customers and other internal groups at FARO on problem solving exercises.

You have:
Five + years of quality-related experience
B.S. degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Science or a relevant discipline
Manufacturing industry experience
Demonstrated IT/system skills
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Strong communication and team building skills
Conversant with ISO 9001 and 17025 requirements
Familiar with Lean Manufacturing
Oracle and/or Agile experience desirable
Travel: Minimal (less than 15% of time)
Travel: International possible

Problem solving Expert. Fluent with organizing and leading cross functional teams through the 8D process.
Champion for the Customer. This role requires communicating with customers to ensure FARO products meet and exceed expectations, and that improvement requests are fed back into our Product Marketing organization.
Project Management experience guiding teams through longer term improvement projects.
Excellence in analyzing data and spotting trends or opportunities to improve product reliability. The Quality organization is responsible for collecting field performance data and prioritizing improvement projects that may be required to ensure products meet field performance expectations.
Excellence in communicating in both verbal and written form to all levels of the organization.
Experience working with domestic and international suppliers on quality improvement projects
OTHER DUTIES MAY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Perform or assist with any departmental operations, as required or directed to maintain workflow and meet production schedules and requirements.
Maintain safe work areas and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules.
Attend and participate in a variety of meetings and task force groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements and policies.
Recommend revisions to control documentation such as production check lists, operating procedures and policy manuals. Make and distribute authorized modifications as required.
Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Continuous lifting of very lightweight materials, some lightweight lifting, and occasional lifting of average to heavy weight materials of over 60 lbs. Occasional pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing and upper body and arm rotation. Some bending, stooping and standing. Continuous sitting. Occasional use of hazardous chemicals.
