We are seeking a Point of Care Coordinator (POC) like you to join our organization at Ocala Regional Medical Center.

Ocala Health encompasses Ocala Regional Medical Center, a 256- bed facility located in the heart of Ocala, and West Marion Community Hospital, a 174-bed hospital located in west Marion County, Summerfield ER, a freestanding emergency department located in southern Marion County, and Maricamp ER, a freestanding emergency department located on Maricamp Road in Ocala. Ocala Regional Medical Center is a Level II Trauma Center and the regions only Comprehensive Stroke Center.

You Will:


  • Analyze proficiency testing samples

  • Review proficiency testing and/or quality assurance results and work with departments to develop corrective action plans, where indicated

  • Complete all required records/documentation pertaining to quality assurance and/or point-of-care testing records

  • Monitor accreditation agency licensing status and assist department director in preparing licensing and renewal paperwork (CAP, CLIA, AHCA, business license, etc.)

  • Work with regulatory agencies and HCA legal resources to ensure that licensing documentation is completed as required

  • Prepare annual program for Quality Control, Quality Assurance and Regulatory compliance under the guidance of the Department director

  • Prepare annual assessment of Quality Control, Quality Assurance and Regulatory performance for assigned division

  • Prepare, organize and present performance information for appropriate meetings

  • Participate in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of point-of-care testing equipment in support of facility service needs


Qualifications

You Should Have:

  • A 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology

  • A State of Florida Technologist LicenseOR the ability to obtain during the interview process

  • A State of Florida Supervisor's License is preferred

  • 3-5 Years of Experience in a clinical laboratory setting with quality assurance and/or point-of-care testing
