We are currently searching for the right person to join our team as a Customer Contact Representative.



 



The Customer Contact Representative will perform a variety of clerical duties related to Data Processing.  This position is responsible for providing quality customer service while responding to incoming calls from bank customers in an efficient and professional manner.  This position is also responsible for researching and resolving customer requests and performing general account maintenance.  The job functions are:



 



Job Duties:




  • Respond to questions from internal and external customers.


  • Assist customers with debit card questions.


  • Assist customers with online banking questions.


  • Research and resolve customer inquiries.


  • Accept and make account transfers for customers via telephone.


  • Perform account maintenance and match appropriate products to customers’ needs.


  • Complete follow-up paperwork with accuracy and in a timely manner.


  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of bank products, services, department procedures and policies, and regulations to ensure accurate handling of customer inquiries.


  • Cross-sell the bank’s products and services.


  • Complying with privacy policies and procedures to maintain customer confidentiality and information protection


  • Complying with all federal, state and local regulatory rules and regulations governing financial institutions, as well as all company policies and procedures


  • Completing and passing all required regulatory compliance training as assigned


  • Perform any additional duties and tasks assigned by management


           



Qualifications & Skills:




  • Must be flexible to work a varying schedule Monday – Friday, between the hours of 8:00 am to 7:00 pm.


  • Demonstrates initiative, a commitment to continuous learning, and the ability to adapt to change


  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to meet our customer's needs


  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.


  • Self-starter and the ability to complete assigned duties with minimal supervision.


 



Education, Experience & Licenses:




  • High School diploma or equivalent.


  • Minimum six months’ customer service experience.


  • Minimum six months’ previous banking experience.


  • Minimum one year experience with computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
