He/she will play an essential role in conducting routine analysis, validating new analytical methods, maintaining analytical instruments, and supporting analytical chemists.</span></p>\n<p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct analysis of various samples using GC/MS, FTIR, Raman, NMR, TGA/DSC and other analytical instruments and report the analytical results in a timely manner</li>\n<li>Independently maintain GC, FTIR and other analytical instruments, and conduct regular calibrations</li>\n<li>Coordinate with external analysis service to generate further analytical data</li>\n<li>Work with Analytical chemist to optimize and validate new analytical methods, and write work instructions once the method is optimized</li>\n<li>Train QC operators in regards to the new analytical methods</li>\n<li>Ensure the safe operations in R&D lab by taking on active safety roles in the R&D lab</li>\n<li>Troubleshoot analytical instruments and conduct small modifications to the instruments (e.g. changing GC columns, detectors etc.)</li>\n<li>Successfully complete required training</li>\n</ul></br><strong>Required Qualifications</strong><ul>\n<li>MS in chemistry or analytical chemistry or BS with 2+ yrs experience or high school graduates + 5yrs experience in R&D</li>\n<li>Experience with the handling of air and moisture sensitive molecules including both gases and liquids</li>\n<li>Experience with analytical techniques such as GC and FTIR</li>\n<li>Good communication skills</li>\n<li>A team player that puts safety first</li>\n</ul></br><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong><ul>\n<li>Experience with electronic materials for semiconductor applications is highly preferred</li>\n<li>Experience with highly hazardous and pyrophoric materials is highly preferred</li>\n</ul></br>","title":"Senior Analytical Technician","datePosted":"2021-02-08T00:00:00-05:00","@context":"http://schema.org/"}
