Functions as a competent Registered Nurse to provide safe and therapeutic care and coordination of services through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.



Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

* Responsible for providing safe, efficient and quality care to all of the clients.

* Completion of prior authorizations and other administrative duties as assigned.

* Supports a system-wide understanding of trauma prevalence, impact and trauma informed care.

* Follows organization infection control policies and procedures. At risk for exposure to blood borne pathogens.



Education and/or Experience

* BSN minimum required OR or an active RN License with a signed agreement to complete the BSN within 3 years

* At least two years direct experience working with clients who suffer with mental illness.

* Working familiarity with psychotropic medicines.

* Professional interest and commitment to working with the mentally ill and in the development of care systems for the mentally ill.

* Ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting, according respect to others based on knowledge and experience, as well as discipline.

* Ability to tolerate the stress of a busy outpatient psychiatric care setting.

* Ability to interact with consumers with sensitivity, tact and respect; as well as firmness, when necessary.

* Knowledge of theories of human behavior, personality development and psychological and physical cause of mental disorders.

* Knowledge of principles and techniques of group and individual therapy; understanding of principles and methods of intervention.

* Familiarity with Washington Administrative Code regulations and professional standards governing the treatment of the mentally ill.



Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations

* Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington (or the ability to obtain prior to start date).
