Full-Time Executive Assistant to the Chief of Police
Non-Union/Confidential Employee

Compensation: $22.69 - $28.98 per hour, full benefits package

Lincoln City has a great opportunity for full-time employment with the Police Department as the Executive Assistant to the Chief of Police! Are you a detail oriented person who enjoys law enforcement and has the ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment? Do you have two or more years of experience working at an executive level handling multiple tasks while maintaining confidentiality?

Potential candidates will be required pass an extensive background investigation due to the nature of the job. A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required to perform various functions related to the position.

Testing

Top qualifying applicants will be invited to take a computer skills and administrative skills assessment. Specific instructions and information regarding testing will be given to these applicants via email. Applicants must obtain a score of at least 85% in each category tested in order to be considered for the next step.

Interviews

Qualifications and test scores will determine who is invited to an interview panel, followed by an interview with the Chief of Police.

Final Candidate
A conditional job offer will be extended to the final candidate. This is subject to the successful completion of a background investigation and reference checks. Once complete, a starting date will be determined.

The hiring process can take anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks upon a conditional job offer.
