Headquartered in New York City since 2007, Persistent Systems, LLC is a global communications technology company which develops, manufactures, and integrates a patented and secure Mobile Ad Hoc Networking (MANET) system: Wave Relay®. The company’s industry leading R&D team has designed wireless networking protocols to support their cutting-edge Wave Relay® system and technology. Wave Relay® is capable of running data, video, voice and other applications under the most difficult and unpredictable conditions. Their suite of products is field proven and utilized in Commercial, Military, Government, Industrial, Agriculture, Robotics, and Unmanned System markets.



Responsibilities

Persistent Systems is looking for a tech-savvy copywriter to join our growing Marketing team in New York City.  We are looking for an enthusiastic creative thinker, with excellent research and writing skills. You will work closely with the Marketing Campaign Specialist to support Campaign content, and in close collaboration with the Sales Team to develop supporting Materials.  The Technical Copywriter will perform thorough research into each vertical, solution, and audience required to achieve our branding and marketing goals.  The Technical Copywriter will be a content creator for Persistent Systems Marketing team.

Position Responsibilities  


  • Write clear, concise, and persuasive copy for ads, marketing materials, website, blog, etc. to reach and engage audiences in all vertical markets

  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times

  • Be able to write fresh, creative copy with technical details while maintaining a light, positive tone, connects to the audience, and drives action

  • Keeps up to date with communication trends, commercial trends, and industry trends

  • Maintains consistency in messaging for established brand voice

  • Proofread, edit, and revise copy based on internal, partner, or customer feedback

  • Research and understand the needs of target audiences, through online research, reviewing existing materials, interviews with subject matter experts, and 1-to-1 meetings

  • Collaborate with Marketing team and creative staff from concept development to delivery of final product

  • Comfortable with delivering internal company presentations as needed

  • Types of Deliverables include, but not limited to:

    • Case Studies

    • Industry Insights

    • White Papers

    • Guides and Downloadable Assets

    • Email Marketing Content

    • Sales Support Material

    • Website Copy




Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree (business, marketing, communications, journalism, English, or related area)

  • Versatile writing voice and styles, incorporating characteristics that reach different industries and target audiences

  • Experience with formal document development and review and control processes

  • 3+ years of B2B enterprise technical copywriting experience desired, preferably in software or other technical area

  • Possess a strong SEO copywriting background

  • Creativity and willingness to share wild and enthusiastic ideas

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (technical writing exp. a plus)

  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally and cross-regionally, at all levels

  • Enthusiastic about technology and startup environment 

  • An analytical mind capable of learning quickly and adaptive to change

  • Experience working with external agencies and developing creative ideas

  • An ability to work to organizational deadlines and KPI’s

  • Ability to assimilate technical knowledge and transpose at a high level

  • Must be a team player, solution-finder, and have a positive, can-do attitude

  • Applicant must have the ability to obtain a United States Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications


  • 5+ years of B2B enterprise technical copywriting experience, preferably in software or other technical area

  • Master’s degree (business, marketing, communications, or related area) 




Salary:

$65,000.00
