The Instructional Design Specialist works closely with the Director of Instructional Design and Innovation to perform duties associated with overseeing the Learning Management System ( LMS ), including online course development and producing a variety of data reports. The Instructional Design Specialist supports faculty in their multimodality needs in order to enhance student engagement in their various (online, hybrid, live virtual, and face-to-face) learning environments. Required Qualification
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in areas of instructional design, instructional technology, education or an applicable field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated knowledge working with Learning Management Systems such as Canvas
Experience working in a higher education institution
Demonstrated experience in instructional design process and technology usage Preferred Qualification
Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Ability to plan, organize and manage time; work collaboratively and independently, while responding in a timely manner to requests which requires flexibility and prioritization skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision, individually and as a team member Physical Demands
Normal office environment
Light work duty; ability to lift 10 lbs.
The employee frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone and basic office equipment
