Job Description:

Idaho's newest Aquatics Center, located at the South Meridian YMCA is opening soon! Featuring a lap and lesson pool, recreation/family pool, waterslide, lazy river, kids pool & beach entry, and outdoor splash pad, our 22,000 square foot facility will provide plenty of space for competitive swimming, exercise, and recreation for all ages. We are currently accepting applications for Swim Instructors, Lifeguards, and Water Fitness Instructors. Applicants at all skills levels are encouraged to apply, and training and support is available for all applicants interested in beginning their aquatics career at the Y!
Swim Instructors do so much more than teach swim lessons - they inspire confidence in others of all ages. One of the most effective ways to instill confidence in people and create a healthier community is to teach youth, teens, and adults to swim, so they can stay safe around water and learn the skills they need to make swimming a lifelong pursuit for staying healthy.
Lifeguards make a difference in our facilities every day by ensuring the safety of participants and the community. As a lifeguard, you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills, be a part of an amazing team, learn a critical skill, and be a role model to participants.
Water Fitness Instructors get to lead participants through classes designed to build muscle, improve range of motion and flexibility, and increase stamina, all while building a supportive community with their class participants.
