Swim Instructor - South Meridian YMCA at TREASURE VALLEY FAMILY YMCA in Meridian, Idaho

Job Description:

Idaho's newest Aquatics Center, located at the South Meridian YMCA is opening soon! Featuring a lap and lesson pool, recreation/family pool, waterslide, lazy river, kids pool & beach entry, and outdoor splash pad, our 22,000 square foot facility will provide plenty of space for competitive swimming, exercise, and recreation for all ages. We are currently accepting applications for Swim Instructors, Lifeguards, and Water Fitness Instructors. Applicants at all skills levels are encouraged to apply, and training and support is available for all applicants interested in beginning their aquatics career at the Y!
Swim Instructors do so much more than teach swim lessons - they inspire confidence in others of all ages. One of the most effective ways to instill confidence in people and create a healthier community is to teach youth, teens, and adults to swim, so they can stay safe around water and learn the skills they need to make swimming a lifelong pursuit for staying healthy.

Key Qualifications:
Must be a minimum of 16 years old and be certified in WSI or YSI. We have certification classes available, and all skill levels are encouraged to apply. If the cost of certification is a barrier, Treasure Valley Family YMCA offers Financial Assistance for all programs.

Additional Requirements:
This position is part-time with a variety of afternoon or morning shifts available.

Must be able to work in hot, loud, humid, environments for extended periods of time. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
