From marketing the sale of single assets and portfolios to structuring complex debt solutions to providing life-of-loan servicing and asset management, we offer comprehensive services tailored to our clients’ unique needs. The Investment Sales team is recognized nationwide for its expertise, providing asset-specific customization that yields highly effective transaction strategies. Investment Sales advisors work closely with the Debt & Structured Finance team on loan origination, underwriting, closing, life-of-loan servicing and asset management. This experienced team provides clients with innovative and comprehensive solutions by accessing a full suite of debt products, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, Bridge, Life Company, Bank and CMBS products.

Job Description:

We are seeking a Financial Analyst with 0-2 years of experience in the underwriting and analysis of commercial real estate, prior multifamily experience is preferred.

Essential Job Duties:


  • Financial analysis of multifamily opportunities, including existing, value add, and ground-up developments using a proprietary excel underwriting model, and leverage 3rd party research sources to generate comp support for Broker Opinion of Values (BOVs) and proposals

  • Actively assist in the research, writing, and proofing Investment Sales marketing Offering Memoranda (OMs) and BOVs

  • Research and maintain databases which track Investment Sales activity, construction pipeline, rent and expense comparable databases and other relevant real estate metrics

  • Support business development efforts by maintaining owner databases and tracking of target properties and prospective client targets

  • Develop and maintain market knowledge through regular reading of industry trade journals, economic forecasts, and news-related periodicals

  • Assist in the creation and editing of “state of the market” presentations given at national conferences and in private client meetings

  • Track job data and new developments pertinent to Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware markets

  • Point of contact for due diligence process once listings are under contract

  • Conduct transaction coordination and due diligence coordination for the Investment Sales team

  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned


Skills, Education, and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Finance and or Accounting or equivalent experience

  • 1-2 years previous professional experience in real estate underwriting, multifamily related experience preferred; recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.

  • Ability to multitask - Strong ability to multi-task with multiple projects and deadlines in a “high-volume” fast paced environment

  • Time management - Ability to manage time well and be self-motivated, without direct supervision

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational management skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication - Able to provide ongoing input and updates to team through thoughtful and detailed information

  • Thoroughly analyze qualitative and quantitative information

  • Self-motivated

  • Resourceful; able to distill large data into pertinent conclusions relevant to property or market level

  • Work successfully under pressure; resourceful self-starter

  • Computer proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Knowledge of Argus preferred

  • Strong proofreading and editing abilities

  • Writing and underwriting exercise may be administered

  • Real Estate Licensure in Pennsylvania will be required
