We are looking for a Class B CDL driver to expand our fleet and support our growing organization at our Phillipsburg, NJ distribution center. Drivers will be responsible for complying with all DOT, state regulations, and Company safety and compliance policies.
What you'll do in this role:
Drive a company truck to perform deliveries to customers according to the daily route schedule as well as as needed deliveries
Drive and Operate in a safe manner a 26' lift gate box truck
Ability to read maps, work navigation system and read and write in English to meet customer orders
Fulfill orders in the distribution center while operating warehouse equipment (forklift, order picker, pallet riders, etc.)
Responsible for delivering product and providing excellent communication and customer service to our customers
Work in a collaborative manner across all department functions to meet customers needs through all communication methods (phone, email and in-person)
Accurately complete all required paperwork on a daily basis
Build relationships with fellow associates, at all levels as well as contractors , suppliers and customers
Must be outgoing and fun to help us brand our business by building strong customer relationships with the objective of continuing and renewing business
Bring new ideas/improved ways to help improve the department
Be passionate, engaged and work enthusiastically towards personal and company goals
What you'll need to be successful:
Prior route or delivery experience required with knowledge of DOT regulations
Must have at least 3 years verifiable driving experience
Requires a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Excellent communication and customer service skills are required to be successful in this role
Must have excellent driving record to be insurable through our underwriters
Must be able to lift / push / pull up to 55lbs
Required to be a minimum of 21 years of age or older to drive a company vehicle
Upon conditional offer candidate will be required to successfully complete DOT and other required pre-employment screenings
