Job Description Bose is seeking an experienced technical leader to join our fast-growing Wearables category. In this position, you will be responsible for driving and prioritizing the advanced technology roadmap for the category leveraging a combination of market, user, and technical insight to deliver differentiated product capabilities with demonstrably meaningful customer value. You will partner with the Category Director, Product Line Managers, Category Engineer, and Applied Research teams to define and prioritize a compelling portfolio of innovative initiatives with a focus on creating the foundation for product experiences that surprise and delight customers. You must follow best practices and align with company goals while creating better procedures and solutions to increase the speed and impact of technology innovation into the product portfolio to drive meaningful customer value.
Duties & Responsibilities
Lead cross-functional team including members from advanced research, software and hardware engineering, design, and marketing to identify critical technology workstreams, tie them to demonstrable customer value, and drive continued innovation in those domains.
Partner with Applied Research team members in the creation of new research proposals to ensure customer value proposition and validate high level technical feasibility. Provide guidance and mentorship to team connecting technical research with customer needs.
Build and deploy data-driven strategic frameworks for prioritizing technology and concept development work leveraging customer, technology, and market insights
Work with engineering team members to gather and define HW/SW platform design objectives and business goals.
Recommend internal and external process improvements and excellence conversations cross functionally to ensure we have optimized processes for translating front end technology innovation into meaningful customer impact.
Engage with leadership across business units to help define the HW/SW platform roadmap and create recommendations for executive approval.
Adjust, influence and communicate the requirements and expectations to translate aspirational prototype experiences into feasibly deliverable ones.
Work with the other functional and product leaders in the category business team to understand and help shape the multi-year category strategy and product pipeline
Work with engineering to drive internal alignment on technology platform investment POR.
Research competition and broader market trends to identify threats and opportunities in new technologies
Create, maintain,and disseminate technology advancement project communication to stakeholders.
Drive alignment and advocacy with external teams on the strategic fit and relevance for front end investigations and investments within the broader category and corporate-wide portfolio
Requirements and Qualifications

Ability to work in environments where requirements are loose and fuzzy while helping identify actionable work that gets answers necessary to move concepts towards productization

Understanding of market research and data analysis
Proven track record influencing decision making
Knowledge of business operations and procedures
Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Proven experience as an engineering leader and/or technical product manager
BS in engineering or relevant technical field. MSc/PhD is a plus
Self-motivated and self-directed. Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Willingness to challenge the status quo to further category and company goals
