Job Summary As Electrical Engineer, reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be an electrical engineering and firmware development resource developing Vertiv's distributed Battery Management System (BMS) for small systems. In this dynamic environment, you will be called on to do many things, and occasionally be the sole development resource on a project. Position is located in Delaware, OH. The Energy Storage USA team is responsible global platform innovation and development and support for Vertiv's Energy Storage products for sale worldwide.
Responsibilities :
Act as lead EE to gather and refine BMS system requirements and documentation;
Act as primary EE resource in the design and implementation of the small-systems BMS, including PCBA schematic design, layout, procurement, engineering test, and low-level firmware development for self-test and production. You will act as liaison with vendors and Vertiv manufacturing resources for procurement and manufacture of Vertiv Energy Storage products.
Assist in requirements development for BMS firmware.
Act as a primary EE engineer in integration of new BMS into Vertiv products.
Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
5-7 years experience
Strong background in board-level schematic design, layout required, including use of Mentor schematic capture or similar. Ability to test and bring up engineering prototype boards, including low-level firmware development in C required.
Experience with development of battery management systems (BMS) desirable but not required, as is experience with DC power electronics.
