• Assemble, package and paint components for semi-trailer suspension systems. • Accurately report daily activities on work orders and Kan Ban cards and other media as required. Conduct required quality checks using basic measurement equipment. • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as scheduled. • Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards. • Exercise safe working habits while operating machines. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Accountable for quality inspections throughout assembly process. • Ability to work in a team environment. • Continuous inspection of associated equipment and parts used in the assembly process to ensure a good working condition. (air tools, torque wrenches, nuts and bolts...) • Ability to lift sub-components to the line - Must be able to physically lift up to 50 lbs. • Ability to use pneumatic tooling to assemble and torque product. Torques range from 90 to 310 ft. lbs. • Ability to function in Assembly Paint area as assigned. • Ability to function in the Assembly Packaging area as assigned. • Must possess a high level of attention to detail.
QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma/GED required. • Prior production assembly experience, 1-2 yrs. preferred • Must have verifiable references. • Ability to interpret production schedules and build specifications. • Ability to work overtime, as production demands require. • Must be able to utilize torque wrenches according to specs. • Must pass drug and alcohol screen and remain drug free throughout the term of employment
