Strategy, Delivery, Innovation (SDI) and Shared Services is responsible for agile transformation, group portfolio delivery, group business process management, Global Program Office and project prioritization. SDI Delivery & Shared Services provides digital delivery for all consumer CEOs and project/portfolio management services, governance support and business process support for the SDI organization. In addition, we support the Risk Programs for the group.   In support of the customer-centric-based structure using the Customer Journey Delivery, our delivery teams have been aligned to support Customer Journeys. Our goal around organizing into Customer Journeys is to raise the bar on delivery execution, increasing efficiency and velocity of our teams. The Customer Journey structure will provide flexibility to pivot within Journey teams, in pursuit of opportunities and solutions that enhance the experiences for each customer and realize value to the company. 

The Innovation Design team, a part of Wells Fargo's enterprise-wide Innovation Group, is looking for a designer and visual storyteller. The right candidate is:
  • Exceptionally creative and inspiring, passionate about the craft and committed to beautiful design work.
  • Self-motivated, curious and innovative thinker, keeping ahead of creative techniques, trends and tools to apply best practices in every creative project.
  • Visual storyteller and have worked hard throughout your career to refine your understanding of design, creative execution, and visual communication.
  • Experienced in presenting and defending design concepts at all levels of the organization
  • Hard-working and collaborative, leading your team by example; attentive to every detail and ready to step in and help.
  • Proficient with digital technology, comfortable with executing creative assets, learning by prototyping, and confidently delivering desired experiences to users

Responsibilities include:
  • Lead development and execution of complex, industry-leading customer experience solutions. Push creative standards as required on strategic projects.
  • Lead multiple projects at a time from concept to completion. Effectively manage project scope, schedule and deliverables in a fast-paced environment 
  • Interpret and apply brand standards, collaborate across the enterprise to elevate the brand and customer experience
  • Employ a broad array of visual design deliverables including: visual mockups, component specs, redlines, templates and prototypes.Specifically responsible for:
    • Communications and information design
    • Visual design and product updates
    • Animation and motion design
    • Illustration
    • Video planning and execution
  • Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers, direct managers, and executive level stakeholders.
  • Develop new research and test theories that lead to alternative, leading edge design solutions
  • Mentor junior designers on the team.

Location:  San Francisco, CA

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: digital customer experience, digital product/program management, digital platforms, or digital consulting demonstrated through work or military experience
  • 5+ years of visual design experience
  • 3+ years of animations, music, and video experience
  • 3+ years of experience applying graphic design principles using software such as PowerPoint or Photoshop to produce solutions
