Veolia Water Technologies, Inc. Dayton is currently seeking an Maintenance Lead to work in the Philadelphia/Morrisville Pennsylvania area.

This position is a hands-on supervisory role responsible for direction and supervision of the maintenance team. The position will also be responsible for preventative/ reactive maintenance duties tailored to experience and expertise of the the individual.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise team of up to 3 full-time employees
  • Coordinate projects, repairs, and maintenance activities with plant operations to minimize and efficiently use plant down time.
  • Perform maintenance work with the team, often leading the project work and working / managing the work conducted by sub-contractors
  • Adhere to and ensure maintenance personnel are compliant with all health, safety and environmental standards of the company including Vivid Training, LOTO and Confined Space
  • Perform bi-annual reviews of maintenance personnel
  • Demonstrates a "my responsibility" attitude pertaining to all maintenance activities within the site
  • Acknowledges and accepts that the performance of any of his/her maintenance employees reflects directly on him/her
  • Works closely with the Maintenance Planner for major repairs and new installations such that he/she is providing valuable input regarding the ordering of parts, the repairs of existing equipment, the training required of the maintenance team and the engagement of subcontractors or vendors to assist with the successful completion of the project
  • Conducts daily "toolbox" meetings with the maintenance staff to fully explain the projects for the day and the PM work that needs to be completed
  • Reviews the PMs and Work Orders to ensure that the work was completed fully and documented correctly. This task is coordinated with the Maintenance Planner.
  • Is able to communicate effectively with employees, co-workers, manager(s) and client to reflect Veolia's values
  • Complete all assigned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on wastewater equipment to include: treatment evaluation, pumps, valves, piping, electrical, mechanical, and any other equipment within contract scope at facility
  • Review team members work orders, using comments and input to both coach employee and offer input to Maintenance Planner to improve PM system
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for mechanical failures
  • Work with Maintenance Planner to review manuals of both new and existing equipment to ensure all manufacturer recommended maintenance is in the CMMS
  • Participate and lead as required the utilization of parts organization, storage, and inventory management. Spot checking inventory status periodically will be required.
  • Coordinate and work with site contractors and vendors for services such as forklift repair, electrical work, and rigging beyond contract scope, etc.
  • Oversee and act as point of contact for site service contracts such as HVAC and other specialized equipment beyond contract scope.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • 3 years of maintenance experience required including but not limited to pump alignment and rebuilds, commercial plumbing, and gearbox replacement.
  • Past supervisory/lead maintenance experience required
  • 3 years using CMMS
