Job Description:

Position: Mold Technician

Location: Erie, PA

Pacific Company has a great opportunity for a skilled and highly motivated Mold Technician at our Erie manufacturing plant. Nights 6:00pm-6:30am-Shift D This position is full-time and includes a competitive benefits package (see details below)!

General Responsibilities Include:

  • Install molds per scheduling requirements
  • Perform level 1 to level 4 mold Preventative Maintenance
  • Perform "Check and Make Ready" mold preparations per schedule
  • Repair molds, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, basic tool and die and repair / rebuild of hot runner systems.
  • Troubleshoot issues, both in and out of the press. This may require collaboration with other departments if the issue is not clearly a mold issue.
  • Perform in-press mold Preventative Maintenance per schedule
  • Teach new skills to other members of the department / plant
  • Fill out all paperwork as required
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Basic machining skills
  • Forklift certified
  • Overhead crane experience
  • Familiar with hot runner systems, especially valve gate systems
  • Experience with large molds, 40,000 to 90,000 lbs.
  • Familiar with stack molds
  • Basic knowledge of electrical wiring required for proximity sensors and limit switches
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic functions
  • Basic knowledge of mold building materials, surface finishes, tolerances, and design principals.
  • Basic Machining (Lathe, Mill, Surface grinder)
  • Welding
