Pacific Company has a great opportunity for a skilled and highly motivated Mold Technician at our Erie manufacturing plant. Nights 6:00pm-6:30am-Shift D This position is full-time and includes a competitive benefits package (see details below)!
General Responsibilities Include:
Install molds per scheduling requirements
Perform level 1 to level 4 mold Preventative Maintenance
Perform "Check and Make Ready" mold preparations per schedule
Repair molds, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, basic tool and die and repair / rebuild of hot runner systems.
Troubleshoot issues, both in and out of the press. This may require collaboration with other departments if the issue is not clearly a mold issue.
Perform in-press mold Preventative Maintenance per schedule
Teach new skills to other members of the department / plant
Fill out all paperwork as required
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Mechanical aptitude
Basic machining skills
Forklift certified
Overhead crane experience
Familiar with hot runner systems, especially valve gate systems
Experience with large molds, 40,000 to 90,000 lbs.
Familiar with stack molds
Basic knowledge of electrical wiring required for proximity sensors and limit switches
Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic functions
Basic knowledge of mold building materials, surface finishes, tolerances, and design principals.
Basic Machining (Lathe, Mill, Surface grinder)
