PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Under limited direction, this position is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and coordinating all aspects of strategic marketing and communications for assigned areas including strategic planning, media, public and customer relations, omni-channel marketing and internal communications. This position may serve as a primary spokesperson for the organization or a specific central office program and serves as a key member of the brand management team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations. Brings compliance issues to the attention of management.
Assures quality customer service to all customers.
Maintains good attendance and punctuality per the absence policy.
Segments target audiences and develop, execute and measure the effectiveness of strategic marketing and communications to support attainment of business goals and strategic plan for all entities across the organization, as assigned.
Oversees marketing and communications research, analysis, planning and execution for assigned operating units to evaluate product/service markets; helps managers interpret research and collaborates with business planning teams.
Identifies customer insights and unmet needs to develop, manage and measure tactical programs including positioning, branding, advertising and communications, customer education, public relations, internet marketing, channel marketing strategy and tactics, targeted collateral and advocacy/community initiatives.
Manages in-house website content and social media platforms.
Assists in developing and monitoring the department budget. Assists in formulating and implementing strategy for short-and long-range planning.
Manages and coordinates collaborations with key institutions, thought leaders and outside consultants.
Cultivates and develops new and existing relationships with the media to facilitate organization’s media and public relations objectives.
Serves as a primary spokesperson and coordinates media contact and communications with other spokespersons in the organization, as appropriate.
Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to assure adherence to system/corporate brand voice and to support regional blood donor campaigns and promotions to support goal attainment and business objectives.
Remains well-informed of changes and developments in the industry. Establishes and maintains a network of professional relationships both inside and outside the organization.
Performs all other duties, at the discretion of management, as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge/Education
Bachelor's degree in related area required.
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising or Marketing preferred.
Thorough knowledge of all aspects of internal and external marketing and communications required.
Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations that affect business operations preferred.
Licenses/ Certifications
None.
Experience
Five years of related experience required.
Two years of supervisory experienced preferred.
Skills/Abilities
Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
Able to work in a team environment and participate as an active member of management while working with all levels across the organization to provide consistently high levels of customer service and collaboration.
Proven supervisory skills with the ability to effectively motivate and develop personnel to execute job tasks, often within a matrix reporting structure.
Must have analytical, personal organization and problem-solving skills.
Able to simultaneously manage multiple complex projects and programs from concept though implementation, often on deadline.
Possess excellent presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Must be self-motivated and a self-starter with strong project management skills.
Must have proficient computer skills.
Must travel as necessary.
Salary Range: $74,880 – $97,344
