The basic function of the EMT is to provide medical care and transportation for a patient at the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) level, within the scope of practice, as stipulated by Wisconsin Department of Health Services.  Candidates must be able to perform all essential job functions of an EMT-B lifting/moving patients, bending, squatting, sitting, pushing & pulling a stretcher etc.
 
Candidates must be willing to submit to a Pre-employment physical, lift test and drug screening. Must be willing to attend all company mandated orientations, training's & meetings. Must keep State Licensure current with the State of Wisconsin Department of Public Health which includes staying current with mandated CE & Certifications. The EMT job function is to transport sick and injured persons by ambulance in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort and to administer Basic Life Support.
Requirements include:

• High school diploma or equivalency.


• Wisconsin EMT-B Licensure


• Must have a clean driving record


• EMT's must be able to Lift in excess of a minimum of 150 lbs. 

Preferred: 

• PHTLS/BTLS Certification


• National registry
