Collaborate with Sr. Product Manager(s) and/or with Managing Directors to develop product line strategies that lead to the development of roadmaps.
Develop product line maps that provide clarity to product development strategic plans and offerings.
Develop product line pricing, mix and cost saving strategies, and tactics to support revenue and profit targets.
Provide support and input on product catalogs, classifications, and smart descriptions.
Facilitate market research and intelligence gathering to determine customer requirements, business opportunities, and competitor positioning.
Provide direction to the research and development team on new product concepts as needed.
Champion stage 1 and 2 development work within Stage Gate. Work cross-functionally to assure development projects are properly scoped, business cases are completed, requirements are clearly defined, and results meet specifications of the market and manufacturing.
Manage day-to-day application and VAVE priorities so internal and external milestones are met.
Monitor, analyze, and facilities pricing plans that support objectives, strategies, and product life cycles.
Provide support to Marketing in the development and execution of promotional events, ads, branding, packaging, and web sites.
Establish, develop, document and maintain relationships with existing and new customers.
Gather, manage and communicate customer intelligence including contacts, business levels, opportunities, organizational behavior and strategies.
Identify, communicate, manage and secure new sales opportunities.
Manage and provide leadership on day to day commercial issues as it relates to pricing, change management, quality, collections and operations.
Provide forecast input to the monthly 6-month SOP forecast as well as the annual budget forecast and long-term customer projections.
Manage day to day pricing as well as provide input on pricing models and strategic issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
About 15 years’ industry experience or equivalent with documented history of strong performance.
Experience in one or a combination of disciplines including product marketing, sales management, program management, operations, engineering, and quality.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
