The objective of this role is to bring expertise in delivering high quality Master data which enables top tier analytics and insights for the Global Supply Chain during and after our SAP S/4 implementation. The successful candidate will engage with stakeholders, understand needs and opportunities to create frameworks and templates, build out roadmaps and deliver on team commitment on a timely basis to establish and sustain high quality Master Data resulting in improved accuracy which enables an automated transactional environment and ensures analytics data integrity. Partner with teammates across our Global Supply Chain, Finance, Digital Technology Services (DTS) and Global Business Service (GBS) in the execution of end-to-end, large global scale, sophisticated, data focused processes and analytics to enable transformational business delivery. This role requires strong influencing skills to deliver results across the business teams as the role supports Global Process Owners (GPOs), Regional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Functional Leads and Analytics and Insights teams. This role will be expected to co-champion our vision for data management and related change by assisting in the removal of both internal and external barriers to our transformational change.

Role Responsibilities & Accountabilities: These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
 

Strategy / Alignment / Methodology


  • Provide expertise for the creation of our Master data strategy (including interdependencies) and development of a data governance roadmap to enable top tier data analytics and insights during S/4 HANA implementation.


  • Ensure that the data design satisfies current and future business needs, specifically including defining (or leading the definition of) attributes and hierarchies necessary for business purposes.


  • Focus on internal and external environment, ensuring latest tools & technologies are leveraged to drive simplification, standardization, and automation to deliver value and faster decisions.


  • Partner with the architects of future analytics and global process standardization by understanding data sources, transformation, and consumption needs from stakeholders.


  • Engage and challenge current processes to incorporate critical thinking and futuristic Global process redesign to develop innovative data solutions for complex, tricky problems.


  • Establish prioritized Master data transformation opportunities that are clearly tied to business value.  


  • Build presentations that demonstrate conceptual designs and explain technical information to business communities as well as share the strategic big picture.  


  • Be a change agent, by defining new ways of developing product solutions internally and externally, helping the organization become more effective, responsive and agile.


  • Support strategic alignment: Ensure Global Supply Chain team is focused on solving the RIGHT and RELEVANT strategic problems that can create a step change in longer term business value.


Implementation


  • Deliver on Master data roadmap commitments (cleansing, standardizing, harmonizing data).


  • Support delivery of detailed, functional data requirements to deliver analytics and business process needs.  


  • Collaborate with Finance, Commercial, GBS delivery teams, DTS, global process owners, and other functional operation teams across the enterprise


  • Support the culture change to an intelligent data analytics mindset that embeds this capability, and ultimately delivers results for Supply Chain and Kimberly-Clark as an enterprise.


  • Stand up the new data governance and change control processes and champion relentless documentation of all data standards and usage designs


  • In support of the data roadmap, ensure proper controls are in place to monitor data quality.


  • Partner with DTS teams to define data quality rules and build scorecards.


Coaching / Capability


  • Consult and coach regional and global process teams, including leaders, to build Master data governance, data analytics and insight capabilities.


  • Develop and execute next generation training to empower and accelerate Kimberly-Clark’s full potential.


Customers: Project Aurora Supply Chain, Finance and GBS Capability Owners, Global Process Owners, Regional Subject Matter Experts, Global Centers of Expertise, Data and Analytics Governance Council, Global Supply Chain Functional (Logistics / Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality / Regulatory / Compliance, Environment Health Safety & Sustainability) and Project Aurora leads, Analytics & Insights teams, GSC functional and regional teams, DTS, GBS, as well as External Vendors and Customers.

Scope: The Master Data Domain Consultant will help lead the build of our new S4 Master Data management domain design and process improvement.  The role will drive global master data simplification, standardization, harmonization and differentiation where it adds value.  Creates customer focused practices while challenging paradigms.  Provide leadership, coordination, and direction for all design elements of a Global Master Data domain to deliver necessary process transformation and analytics needs on time and in budget.

Qualifications/Education/Experience Required:


  • BA or BS in Supply Chain, Engineering or Business Administration required; MBA or MS desired.


  • Ideally 10+years for Senior Consultant of supply chain or process engineering experience with demonstrated track record of delivering cross functional results (preferably at least 2 years experience within Global Consumer Product organizations).


  • Have a very strong understanding of master data and transactional data processes, architecture, hierarchies, relationships and interdependencies.


  • Operational experience in driving global master data standardization, cleansing and harmonization.


  • Knowledge of how current data trends and technology can address identified business needs.


  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated capability in data modeling and data science.


  • Strength in leveraging tools and technology to capture and transform data into relevant insights which will be documented into our process knowledge base.


  • Must be hands on and detail oriented, but also able to see the big picture.


  • Strong project management skills with excellent organizational skills as well as experience leading and/or supporting multiple, global projects.


  • Strong, concise and impactful communication and influencing skills as well as ability to interface with senior leadership while translating technical information into business relevant information.  


  • Resourceful and independent; thrives in a changing and dynamic work environment (adaptive to changing priorities, ability to work through ambiguity and adversity).


  • Eagerly accepts stretch goals. Takes personal responsibility for decisions and delivering results.

  • Fluent in English – Required (Additional languages preferred).


  • Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. SAP experience preferred.


  • Ability to travel by ground and air up to 25-50% (primarily international travel).
