Job Description:

This postdoc position will be to independently work on several main projects in the lab including a funded project related to Blimp-1 function in asthma and a second funded project looking at the role of metabolism and epigenetics in human lupus samples. As a part of these projects, job duties will include maintaining an animal colony used for these projects, immunization of animals according to our approved IACUC protocols, isolation of tissues and assessment of asthma disease. Techniques to be performed include (but are not limited to) multi-color flow cytometry, PCR, qPCR, sample prep for nextgen sequencing, and standard cellular and molecular biology techniques. It is expected the candidate will work with PI to develop a projects and work with other lab members on team projects, help to train new students and future postdocs or technicians, and participate in seminar or data clubs as part of a collegial training environment. The candidate must have a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree in a science related field.
