Assistant Director of Microbiology/Academic Microbiologist
RANK/TITLE:
Assistant Director of Microbiology / Academic Microbiologist (Assistant Professor of Pathology, nontenure) University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
DEPARTMENT/DIVISION:
Department of Pathology, University of Pittsburgh, Division of Microbiology in the Section of Laboratory Medicine. All Divisions in Laboratory Medicine have a strong interest in service, research and education and serves the entire UPMC Health System, encompassing 20 hospitals.
JOB DUTIES:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have an M.D. with board certification in Laboratory Medicine/Clinical Pathology or a Ph.D. with training and boards (or board eligible) in Clinical Microbiology.
- Eligibility for medical licensure or practice in Pennsylvania is required.
- One - five years of experience for Assistant Professor level
SALARY and BENEFITS:
Salary will be commensurate with experience. The individual will be a full-time faculty member at the University of Pittsburgh, as well as a participant in the UPMC/UPP faculty practice plan.
