The Manager of Shopper Insights & Analytics is responsible for developing and executing the shopper research agenda which primarily supports Sales and Category Management partners in the Constellation Brands Beer Division. The Manager is responsible for identifying key shopper insights that will lead to enhanced growth across our strong portfolio of brands. The Manager will lead all aspects of projects while continuing to build business knowledge and strong cross-functional relationships.
Responsibilities
Lead Shopper Insights & Analytics efforts primarily across Beer and Alternative Adult Beverages to guide Sales planning, strategy, and execution.
Work directly with Category Leadership, Sales, and Innovation partners to (1) create the research agenda based on their questions and feedback, (2) involve stakeholders in the process of uncovering insights, and (3) translate insights into actionable recommendations and fact-based selling stories.
Provide superior communication: summarize complex research and data findings into easy-to-use, actionable recommendations. Communicate creatively using multiple methods and platforms. Proactively share best practices and insights that drive market share growth for Constellation Brands.
Exhibit strong partnership with external suppliers (research agencies): design clear research briefs, provide transparent and comprehensive feedback, and monitor execution of vendor projects.
Develop insights through own interpretation of the data and validate vendor perspectives and recommendations.
Represent the voice of the shopper: provide shopper expertise to the Growth organization, sales teams, brand and innovation leaders, and trade marketers. Become a trusted partner to these stakeholders while exhibiting strong influencing and negotiation skills.
Coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications
5-7+ years of market research experience, preferably within a B2C context
Well-grounded in market research fundamentals and methodologies with a strong emphasis on in-context behavioral-based methods
Strong ability to design studies with a critical eye on self-reported data, and to uncover insights by synthesizing multiple pieces of information or research
At least intermediate skill level with point-of-sale and panel syndicated databases (IRI, Nielsen, Numerator)
Ability to create persuasive, fact-based, and insightful content to effectively communicate with both internal and external clients
Experience in collaborating with internal and external resources to develop ideas and strategies for a common goal
Bachelor’s degree required
Passionate about the beverage alcohol industry
