Truck Foreperson (Sidney, Maine): We are seeking a safety minded, self-motivated, qualified driver to fill the Truck Foreperson position. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting a positive example for the truck fleet by constantly acting in a safe and respectful manner, wearing applicable PPE, strictly following Pike safety rules and guidelines and being an active participant in the THINK program and other safety initiatives. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to: overseeing and monitoring the daily activities of company drivers and hired haulers, collaborate with the Dispatcher to approve daily timecards and perform Tool box talks, communicate any safety violations and accidents/incidents; assist in scheduling changes and serve as the daily communication link between the Dispatcher, Forepersons/Project Managers and the Truck Drivers. This position will be based out of Sidney, Maine. Classification: Seasonal hourly position.

Requirements:

•             Must be committed to providing and promoting a safe work environment.

•             A valid CDL Class A or B license with Tank Endorsement.

•             Must be familiar with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration rules and regulations.

•             Previous supervisory experience is preferred but not required.

•             Must be familiar with computers including email, Internet and Microsoft Office programs.

•             Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.

•             The willingness to work extended hours with possible night and/or weekend work as well as overnights.

•             The willingness to travel to other Pike locations throughout New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont.
