Job Description:

The Teller is typically the first person the customer encounters when whey walk into a bank. Tellers p rocess a variety of routine financial transactions (check cashing, withdrawals, deposits, loan payments, etc . ) and accurately balance these transactions while maintaining friendly and positive relationships with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities include:

• Operate a teller drawer to serve customers and bank personnel in lobby or drive up .
• Recognize potential cross-sell opportunities and direct customers to appropriate bank personnel.
• Develop skills to recognize potential fraud and report to management as necessary .
• Comply with all department, bank and regulatory policies and procedures .
• May be responsible for bank opening/closing and may be required to participate in community events .
• Assi st with training of teller staff and problem resolution.
• Assist manager with operational tasks such as audits and bookkeeping.

• One or more years of previous teller experience
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• High school degree or equivalent required
• Able to lift 30 lbs; able to stand for long periods of time
• Travel between branches may be necessary
