The unit HR Manager is responsible for all HR activities in our Kansas City (Lenexa) office. This includes, but is not limited to the following: • Partner with business leaders for all employee related initiatives• Ensure excellence in service delivery, for HR processes (i.e. performance appraisal, rewards and recognition etc.)• Design and implement talent management and retention activities • Drive and share HR best practices• Create and continuously work to improve on-boarding process for all new hires within region including client specific on-boarding • Perform all employee off-boarding exercises• Instruct new-hires and other employees on how to use intranet, HRIS, and other Sogeti based systems• Answer employee questions regarding paid time off, holidays, FMLA, leave requests, etc.• Assist and advise Vice President on how to stay in compliance with company policies and employment laws• Listen to and addresses employee concerns• Coach and advise managers and employees • Provide guidance to managers regarding disciplinary actions• Plan employee events to increase employee engagement- business meetings, holiday parties, happy hours, volunteering events, etc.• Organize internal counselor program - a mentor/management program designed to keep employees connected and to chart career path while working at various client sites• Lead yearly performance appraisal and promotion process • Proactively communicate HR updates to employees• Constantly create new initiatives to improve employee connectivity, involvement, and attrition• Work with the immigration team to process work visas for non-US citizen employees• Interface with the recruiting team to drive talent acquisition• Coordinate yearly compensation management activitiesDesired Skills and Experience• Bachelor`s degree in human resources or related field is required• 5 years of experience as a HR Generalist• PHR/SPHR preferred• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations and the ability to clearly articulate and apply human resources principles and practices to broad and complex issues• Excellent communication and negotiation skills • Ability to work with employees, supervisors, managers and directors at all levels to identify problems and develop creative solutions, both independently and in cooperation with others on sensitive and confidential matters The benefits our employees enjoy:
