This purpose of this Head of Corporate Strategy is:

The Head of Corporate Strategy is a senior level role responsible for developing longer term business strategies, and the ongoing review and update of those strategies as required. Working closely with the executive leadership team, the VP Corporate Strategy is responsible for formulating strategies to drive both organic and inorganic revenue growth and margin expansion. The VP Corporate Strategy will also develop and drive other strategic initiatives, as needed, that align with our mission to be a global real-time payments leader.

A Typical day at ACI for a Head of Corporate Strategy is:

• Develop longer term business strategies and identify strategic growth bets; lead a disciplined review process to update the strategies on a regular basis as needed.
• Establish an effective corporate level strategic planning process, incorporating responses to shifts in the rapidly evolving payments ecosystem.
• Leverage scenario planning, case studies and modeling capabilities to strengthen the strategy capability within ACI.
• Facilitate business portfolio optimization, based growth potential across geographies, customer segments and products. Rebalance/recalibrate allocation of capital to capture the best risk/reward scenarios aligned with our vision, mission and strategic goals.
• Uncover areas within the business to drive performance improvements to unlock growth and provide clarity towards execution.
• Provide data driven insights to the business through analytics and market research as required (e.g. market, customer, competitors).
• Work closely with the Corporate Development team to identify and analyze Merger & Acquisition (M&A), Joint Venture (JV) and divestiture opportunities accretive to our strategic goals. Collaboratively review, prioritize and present these opportunities to the CEO and the ELT.
• Partner with industry analysts and strategy consultants, when appropriate, to ensure we get maximum value from these relationships.
• Understands and complies with Risk Management program requirements including identification of risks, key controls, and control testing as applicable to their responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Understand and adhere to all corporate policies to include but not limited to the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed to succeed in this role:

• Master's degree, preferably MBA
• At least 15 years of relevant work experience
• Superior strategic planning and analysis skills
• Understanding of ACI market segments, business models, customers and competitors; and/or proven ability to learn new markets/businesses very quickly.
• Mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships
• Exceptional data-driven problem solving and creativity.
• Higher order analytical skills - analyze, synthesize and interpret divergent input
• Excellent communication skills and executive presence
• Ability to work collaboratively across a matrixed functional organization
