About the role
You will be an essential part of the Viator and Bokun Financial, Planning & Analysis team and have a broad range of responsibilities including forecasting headcount, people costs, and other direct expenses. You will collaborate with departmental leads to prepare budgets and review performance. You will also partner with the global supply team to provide financial insight on adhoc and reoccurring investment opportunities. This role requires an independent, proactive and organized candidate who will adapt well in a dynamic environment.
What You Will Do
Enhance forecasting processes by developing automated templates for business input
Develop detailed financial models utilizing Hyperion, Workday, Excel, and Google-Sheets
Perform monthly forecasting of hiring and attrition, salaries, benefits, travel and entertainment
Improve reporting on monthly variance analyses
Conduct departmental financial reviews with various business leads
Partner with accounting to analyze and understand forecast variances
Drive initiatives across teams to automate reporting and enhance analytical capabilities
Finance lead for pre-paid and non-standard products and associated approvals using salesforceWork closely with analytics and systems teams to automate data preparation and reporting
Ad hoc projects analyzing supplier performance/inventory and various investment opportunities
What You Will Bring to the Team
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
5+ years of experience in financial planning and reporting; SQL a plus
Expert knowledge of Excel and its data and analysis tools - VBA knowledge a big plus
Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Essbase skills a big plus
An inquisitive nature, someone who wants to explore variances and understand the root cause
Proactive & independent, always looking to take initiative and improve existing processes
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
Strong sense of ownership and entrepreneurial spirit
