Job Description:

The In-Circuit Test Analyst will be responsible for supporting new product introduction activities by performing analyses of printed circuit boards for ICT accessibility and product schematics for test effectiveness using in-circuit test and boundary scan test techniques.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support new product introduction activities by performing analyses of printed circuit boards for ICT accessibility.

  • Own the ICT/ boundary-scan life cycle including on-time fixture and software development for new products, implementation of engineering changes, and analyzing the impacts the testing caused by PCB revisions.

  • Design test strategies that mix boundary-scan testing with traditional in-circuit testing techniques.

  • Work closely with functional test engineers to reduce total test costs by implementing selected functional tests at ICT and/or boundary scan test

  • Provide ICT support as needed at global contract manufacturers.

  • Other duties as requested in order to ensure 100% quality, accuracy, and product verification.

  • Other projects and assignments may result and be assigned to accommodate the changing needs of the department and the Company.
  • Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent relevant work experience is required.

  • 5+ years' experience of in-circuit test (ICT) and/or boundary-scan development and support experience in a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment.

  • Basic Microsoft Office skills required.

  • No travel is expected for this position.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using boundary-scan hardware and software tools, Teradyne TestStation/Genrad 228X, and Fabmaster and/or D2B fixture design tools. Some experience in Teradyne Z18xx testers is desired.
  • Essential Physical and Mental Qualifications

  • The employee must walk and stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 35 pounds without assistance on a repetitive basis and lift materials greater than 35 pounds with assistance.

  • Manual dexterity with hands and fingers is necessary to make quick, precisely coordinated movements to grasp, manipulate, and assemble very small objects on a consistent basis.

  • Must be able to frequently extend or reach with hands and arms while performing routine job functions including scanners, hand tools, power tools, and production equipment.

  • The job will require occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.

  • The job will require the employee to possess the ability to see and interpret instructions, warnings, safety hazards, colors, and procedures, the ability to hear alarms and pages, to listen for safety hazards, to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences in English, and the ability to communicate with peers through spoken words in English to complete job requirements.

  • Employees may be exposed to solder fumes. Eye protection, respirators, and safety clothing will be required and supplied by the company in instances where there is exposure to safety hazards.
