Risk Management, under the direction of the firm's CRO, provides a firmwide independent function for the management of risk. One of the firm's top priorities continues to be strengthening its risk and control environment. The Risk Reporting & Middle Office and Risk Control Management organizations, within Corporate Risk, compliment this mission:

Firmwide Risk Reporting and Middle Office (RRMO), produces internal and external reporting and analysis used to manage risk through changing market conditions, supports regulatory requirements regarding Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting, and executes controls to measure the quality of risk data.

Control Management (CM) maintains a strong and consistent control environment across the firm. With Control Managers appointed for each Line of Business, Function and Region, there is a comprehensive coverage and joint accountability model with the business executive that promotes early operational risk identification and assessment, effective design and evaluation of controls and sustainable solutions to mitigate operational risk.

Role & Responsibilities

As a Vice President within Governance and Business Management you will join the central business management team and support the Risk Reporting & Middle Office and Risk Control Management organizations through an array of activities, which may include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Prepare management reporting and transform ideas/concepts into clear and concise presentations for senior audiences
  • Lead the execution of special projects / strategic initiatives from end to end and partner with team leads to effectively meet key deliverables
  • Drive control action plan remediation for issues that span the global organization and lead efforts to organize, compile and present evidence to the Control office for closure
  • Run cross team working groups
  • Perform Assignment Manager role for real estate planning, leading the effort to drive the accuracy of position management across the organization
  • Lead business resiliency efforts for the global organization, including annual plan reviews, resiliency related communications and coordination of return to office
  • Improve and/or revamp existing processes to streamline and increase efficiency across the team
  • Perform ad hoc analysis on a variety of topics as requested from senior management

Technical Skills


  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivots, graphs, vlookups and other formulas)
  • Strong presentation skills

Qualifications


  • Minimum 5 years' experience in similar roles (e.g. project management, governance, controls)
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a constantly changing environment
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple work streams and deliverables and bring tasks to closure
  • Ability to quickly build partnerships with colleagues of various levels, across multiple locations
  • Ability to work in an attention to detail and deadline-oriented environment
  • Strong, clear and concise written and verbal communication skills with ability to prepare executive level presentations
  • Attention to detail with an understating of what level of detail is appropriate
  • Motivated self-starter, results/task driven, well organized
  • Works well both independently and collaboratively
