Summary/Objective:

The Sr. Marketing Operations Manager is an integral part of the Product Line Management organization and is responsible for leading a team to improve internal/external customer satisfaction while facilitating and supporting product development projects, profitability improvements and promotion to achieve overall financial and market objectives.

Essential Functions:

Manage Marketing Operations


  1. Staff Create a customer-centric and systems focused team to drive efficient execution of functional requirements required to run the business, and to facilitate ease of implementing business process improvements across Product Line Management functions

  2. Responsible for building a high functioning team, and ensuring appropriate bench strength exists to run and grow the business profitably, eliminating unnecessary complexity and cost

  3. Provides clear direction and accountability to ensure successful execution of tasks that maximize value creation, separating unlike business practices and applying the right resources to the right processes

Drive Business Process Improvements


  1. Develops and executes worldwide tactical and strategic marketing tools that support division growth

  2. Responsible for all aspects of developing and executing business process improvements across product marketing functions

  3. Aligns the organization with APQC frameworks, and champions the Simply Improve cultural behavior

  4. Ensure that Product Marketing strategies, target account objectives and selling tools are well defined and the support needed to develop new toolsets and business is provided

  5. Build solid relationships with key internal and external customers

Product Line Management Support Function


  1. Ability to interpret, represent and articulate the Product Line strategies and business process requirements

  2. Support portfolio management process

  3. Analyze and manage channel performance Implement Product Line performance, market and channel tools

  4. Ensure procedure, process and tool integrity

  5. Maintain accuracy of product cost and yield information

  6. Manage product marketing content and maintain accuracy of product data sheets

  7. Track demand and revenue trends

  8. Drive resolution to customer requests and complaints

  9. Tactical execution of product development marketing tasks

Required Education and Experience:


  • BS Engineering/Science or BS Business/Marketing

  • Ten years of Operations or Product Management/Marketing experience, or combination of Operations or Product Management/Marketing and business process improvement experience

  • Four years’ experience directly supervising professionals

  • Compliance, regulatory, risk and remediation execution

  • Ability to influence directly and indirectly

  • Cost benefit analysis

  • Risk policy execution

  • Risk analysis

  • Managing program or project financials

  • Ability to lead/facilitate diverse/distributed group and team meetings

  • Demonstrated ability for technical learning, customer focus, and cross-functional

Preferred Education and Experience:


  • MBA with marketing or international business concentration

  • 5 years’ experience of working in technical product management functions

  • Demonstrated ability to manage by influence in matrix organization

  • Experience in the Product Management function for a specialty materials supplier to the electronics, semiconductor or automotive industry
