Team Description

Commercial Banking (CB) is one of JPMorgan Chase's major lines of business and is responsible for providing financial products and services to businesses with annual revenues ranging from $20 million to $2 billion. CB provides a comprehensive suite of financial solutions to its clients, including lending, treasury services, investment banking, commercial card and asset management products to meet clients' domestic and international financial needs. As one of JPMorgan Chase's four largest lines of business, CB serves ~60,000 clients and generates ~$7B in revenues per year across a network of ~125 offices and an employee base of ~6,000 professionals.

Commercial Banking's Tax and Other Regulatory Operations (TORO) team is a Business Support function and is responsible for managing business and regulatory tax risk, leading critical tax regulatory change and evaluating and enhancing end-to-end tax operations processes throughout Commercial Banking. The Tax Business Initiative overlaps between compliance project delivery, operating model design and migration, and BAU management of global tax requirements.

Job Description

The Tax Analyst will work with the Tax Manager of CB TRO and be responsible for activities to meet global regulatory and internal reporting deadlines. The role will involve research and preparation of client information, including for foreign accounts spanning the world, for reporting to tax authorities, including the IRS.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and review client and account information, including around 100 foreign partnership clients, to determine reportable population based on multi-jurisdiction tax regulatory guidance

• Prepare and populate tax reporting forms for distribution to the tax authorities and the client

• Establish end-to-end 6 day SLA's from tax document receipt, scanning and indexing, validation and to follow-up on rejects. Publish metrics to identify issues and ensure quick turn-around times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree not required but preferred

• 1 year of analytical work experience

• Familiarity with IRS tax form (W-8/W-9) requirements and FATCA/CRS knowledge a plus

• Regulatory program experience a plus
