As part of the consultant team, the ideal candidate will work with the Consultant Pharmacist to provide consulting services to our centers with the geriatric assisted living environment. Work primarily performed in Dickson and Bellevue, TN area. You will work closely with center staff to help identify for address pharmacy-related concerns. LPN's interested in consulting are strongly encouraged to apply.
Primary Responsibilities
Customer services focus is priority
Provide education to center staff and medical team as directed by Coordinator
Send weekly update to Coordinator via email
Understand and ensure compliance with all appropriate pharmacy policies, procedures, and directives
Understand and apply knowledge of pharmacy operations
Maintain confidentiality of appropriate information in all forms at all times
Ensure accuracy of pharmacy provided materials and alert Coordinator if revisions/updates are necessary
Notify Coordinator if alerted that any state or federal investigators are present in a center
Understand when situations occur that require involvement of the Coordinator
Provide timely communication between center and Coordinator
Conduct med pass audits and teach med pass procedures
Conduct audits of medication storage areas and teach appropriate storage procedures
Ensure accuracy of all completed consulting reports
Review health records (electronic and/or paper) to obtain and utilize necessary information
Use Excel to prepare reports monthly and as needed
Working knowledge of QS1 and Matrix Care software
Assist consultant pharmacist as requested and necessary
Assist center in preparation for state survey as directed by Coordinator
Set priorities for self to ensure timely completion of assigned responsibilities
Travel to centers as instructed

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
TN Pharmacy Technician Registration (in good standing)
PTCB certification or LPN
2 + years as a Certified Pharmacy Tech in retail, hospital or LTC setting.
