Golder is seeking a Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) Technician to join one of our offices in Houston, TX, Tucson, AZ or Bismarck, ND. In this role you will work on earthworks and geomembrane liner for projects related to the mining and solid waste industry.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

• Assist with field and laboratory testing, and design interpretation to assure that projects are completed in accordance with project design drawings and technical specifications
• Assist with the review and documentation of project record documents, contractor requests for payments, requests for additional information, change orders, and certificates of completion
• Complete accurate, legible daily reports
• Assist with the development and distribution of field notes, meeting minutes, project action item lists, internal tracking of projects activities, and general project coordination activities in support of project managers;
• Attend project meetings and contribute in meeting the requirements and deadlines associated with the construction activities
• Positively interact with engineers and contractors in a constructive manner

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of relevant experience
• Fluency in common software such as Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent analytical capabilities
• Willingness to regularly perform field assignments under varying weather conditions and terrains
• Ability to travel for extended assignments
• Ability to lift and move equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds

Desired:

• At least two years of field and/or construction experience
• An understanding of civil and geotechnical engineering design and background in earthworks construction including the ability to read and understand technical civil design drawings and technical memos
• Exposure to GIS or Civil 3D, and other data analysis tools
• NICET, ACI, GRI Certification, MSHA and OSHA 40 hour Hazwoper training and certificate
