Job Description:

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

Youth Media is responsible for developing and producing entertaining, engaging and educational media for and about youth ages 8-18 with a commitment to high quality, meeting demonstrated needs, and inclusion. Youth media content is developed for multiple platforms including television, podcast, YouTube and social media. 

JOB OVERVIEW

The Youth Media intern will support existing series and the development of new projects and events.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct research




• Provide administrative support




• Produce social media content for brands such as High School Quiz Show




• Participate in audience engagement and development efforts




• Help develop new content for emerging platforms

SKILL SET

• Must be proactive, professional, and able to multitask




• Strong communication skills required




• Studio production experience is desirable




• Experience with writing, television/video production, and/or working with youth and young adults is preferred




• Design/photo editing skills are a plus




• Comfortable working independently, as well as with a team




• Active and adept on a range of popular social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube




• Organizational skills and keen attention to detail are essential




• Must be proficient with Macs

JOB STATUS

Paid Internship $15/hour (Part-time up to 20 hours)

INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

GBH internships provide students with valuable work experience and real-world knowledge across many different fields of study, from TV and radio production, to web design, accounting, law, and other administrative arenas.

SUMMER 2021 INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

• Summer 2021 Virtual Internship dates: June 7 - August 13.




• You must have cover letters for each internship that you are applying to.




• Candidates must have their own computer and access to Wifi.




• Candidates must be in an Undergrad or Grad program and have work authorization for the United States.
