Santa Barbara Infrared (SBIR) is currently recruiting for the position of PART-TIME Software Engineering INTERN.

Santa Barbara Infrared (SBIR) designs and manufactures the most technologically advanced infrared and electro-optical test instrumentation available. SBIR's broad line of innovative products support testing of military and commercial sensor systems and are used worldwide in laboratory, production, depot and field test applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -- Software Engineer Intern

We are looking for a software intern to work on a wide range of aspects of our products. This work may include imbedded software development up to GUI work. Duties may also include software release management. This position requires someone knowledgeable in C, C++, and C#. Experience writing interfaces to devices is a plus as well as knowledge of SQL and other languages.

REQUIREMENTS- Software Engineer Intern

The successful candidate must be currently attending a school of higher education with the goal of obtaining a Bachelor or Master's degree in engineering from a college or university or must possess equivalent work experience.

Due to US Export Control Regulations compliance, eligible candidates MUST be a US citizen, permanent resident or a person who has been granted asylum; proper documentation is required.

Pre-employment verifications: must pass background, reference and ITAR/EAR checks in addition to a pre-employment drug screen.
