What you will do

The Johnson Controls HVAC Planned Service Agreement Renewal Opportunity Deal Desk Specialist will implement and drive strategies that consider competitive analysis, market conditions and the overall business strategy when reviewing contracts up for renewal.

This position will support the Planned Service Agreement Renewal Opportunity Desk with in-depth analysis of PSAs within a 180 day renewal process and will review opportunities for competitiveness and market share growth opportunity gaps. The team will gather data on contracts, assuring the most robust understanding of scope and will then use the data to provide the most current impact factors.

How you will do it

This successful leader will utilize their field and customer experience in the HVAC market to lead the Planned Service Agreement Renewal Opportunity Desk to build an atmosphere of trust and partnership with local markets, including BOMs, CSRs, CSAs, SMs and Sales partners. Partner with the HVAC Support team for consistency and alignment, including BPLs, Sales and Operations leadership team.


  • Partner closely with HVAC local market operations and sales teams to provide analysis and support during the 180 day renewal process.

  • Provide guidance and coaching to the local markets on what steps must be taken to improve execution of the contracts. Hold the team accountable for implementing enhancements for improvement.

  • Be receptive to feedback regarding process modification.

  • Compile pricing data for poor performing opportunities, utilizing tools and analytics already established.

  • Facilitate the process to collect and aggregate data from multiple sources.

  • Conduct post-mortem on closed contracts, building crucial market intelligence related to reasons won or lost. Analyze this data to determine high-running drivers and trends. Propose corresponding actions that will grow margins and market share.

  • Gain agreement and effectively execute price actions.

  • Work closely with BSNA leadership to better understand data and strategic goals.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 

  • 4 years of HVAC service industry experience

  • Demonstrated track record of working cross-functionally with multiple teams

  • Ability to develop, execute and improve new and established processes

  • Prioritize multiple requests from others

  • Excel and Power BI master user

  • Analytical aptitude 

  • Ability to collaborate with and influence others

  • Train others as department expands
