Remote Proposal Manager

As a Proposal Manager, you will prepare, manage, and monitor all proposals in response to Department of Defense (DoD) & Federal Government RFP/RFQ/RFIs. You will manage all aspects of the proposal process by maintaining all past, current, and future proposal documents. Expert level proposal writing and production for proposal submissions will be expected.The Proposal Manager prepares and manages proposals for and in accordance with funder's policy and legal requirements. In this role the Proposal Manager also prepares proposals and may work with the Senior Program Manager on various areas in support of successful capture activities. Desired candidates will be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures, to include Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) processes and/or the Shipley proposal process. The Proposal Manager relies on experience and judgment to plan, manage, and submit compliant proposals on time. They will lead and directs the work of others as applicable. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. This role reports to the Director of the Business Development department.

This position is one of approximately four proposal managers in a department of approximately fifteen staff members. Daily standup meetings are part of our agile proposal development process. We work directly with executive leadership on a regular basis. We produce both low and high effort proposals and work with a vast network of company partnerships.

Basic Requirements

• Associated Degree and 8+ years' experience OR Bachelors and 4+ years' experience


• 4+ years' experience with DoD and Federal Government proposal coordination, production, and management


• 4+ years' experience with complex DoD and Federal government proposals is required


• 4+ years' IT services company related proposal experience (i.e. software development, systems engineering, etc.)


• 4+ years' of Proposal Management and other Business Development leadership and management skills


• 4+ years' experience and knowledge of business development/pursuit tracking activities


• 4+ years' expert skills with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Gmail, Google Docs and Sheets


• 2+ years' experience responding to IDIQ/BPA contract vehicles


• APMP and/or Shipley certification

Preferred Requirements

• Master's degree and 2+ years' experience in direct proposal management or proposal development.


• Bachelor's Degree in English, Marketing, Business or related


• 6+ years' experience as a proposal manager


• 6+ years' experience leading proposal teams with two or more company partners


• 5+ years' experience with DoD and Federal Government proposal coordination, production, and management


• APMP and/or Shipley certification


• 5+ years' experience responding to IDIQ/BPA contract vehicles


• 2+ years of proposal management experience specifically for U.S. Federal/DoD agencies


• Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clauses and compliance
