PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Work under the direction of Lead Craftsman or Foreman. Understanding all tasks for hydro-blasting service line including but are not limited to moving hoses, loading and unloading materials, hydro-blasting, chemical cleaning, vacuum truck operating, tank cleaning, and barge cleaning.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

• Ability to perform work in enclosed (confined) space.


• Ability to safely perform work using high pressure water blast equipment to clean heavy industrial equipment (pipe, boilers, tanks, heat exchangers, bundles, etc).


• Load hoses, chemicals and other equipment required for assigned job onto truck.


• Cleanup work area and equipment after work is completed.


• Practices safety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working.


• Assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, pumps and general work area.


• Performs other duties as assigned.


• Ability to work overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays.


• Control high pressure water jet nozzles to obtain specified cleaning requirements.


• Wears gloves, metatarsal boots and face shield to protect against injury to eyes, hands and feet.


• Loading and unloading equipment, tools, and supplies.


• Vacuum liquids and solids as required.


• All activities will be performed per our standard operating procedures (SOP's).

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have Basic Plus Safety Card or be able to pass it.


• Must complete the Matrix Service Basic Safety training and site-specific training.


• Must be NCCER Certified Hydroblaster.


• Must possess a valid TWIC card.


• Must be willing to frequently travel/relocate.


• Must be willing to work frequent overtime.


• To obtain and maintain an active status within theDISA drug test consortiums.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to hold and operate with both hands a double trigger hydro blast shotgun and other hydro blast equipment.


• Lift and maintain a minimum of 50 pounds.


• Tolerate being wet from head to toe for an unlimited amount of time.


• Climb ladders and work from scaffolding and stationary platforms up to heights of 200 feet.


• Tolerate and function in confined spaces of a minimum of 5 foot inside diameter.


• Must be able to work up to 16 hours per shift.


• Work under extreme climate conditions relative to geographic location.
