This position is located in Upper Marlboro, MD. The core working hours are 8:30am - 5:00pm. The hourly wage is $17.94 per hour. This is a non-exempt position. Employees are eligible for overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 hours in a standard workweek should it be necessary.
CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE:
This position is assigned to the Corporate Administration Office. The purpose of this position is to respond to donor's telephone inquiries and to assist donors in making donations of vehicles or other merchandise to Melwood.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive and process checks and other payments from auctions, including calculating and coding amounts, and preparing checks for submission to Finance.
Prepare and mail checks to vehicle donation program charity partners, including calculation of payments utilizing Excel workbooks and preparation of letters and supporting documentation utilizing Word.
Assist in the setup of new charity partners' vehicle donation programs, including preparation of standard form agreements and customized online donation forms and donor form letters, process tracking using Excel, and communication with new partners.
Assist in preparation of monthly reports to charity partners, including utilization of Excel workbooks and downloading data from Melwood's database and auctions' Websites.
Assist with creating various reports for internal and external purposes, including financial analyses and audits.
Data input into Melwood's databases, and donors' and auctions' databases and Websites online.
Assist with the planning and implementation of the Center's technology and system update.
Other administrative, call center support, and business planning responsibilities and tasks assigned by the Vehicle Donations Center Business Advisor and the Call Center Manager.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Direct supervision by the Vehicle Donation Center Director. Will also work at times under the supervision of the Call Center Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic or intermediate Excel and Word abilities - will train on specifics, but a good working knowledge of and comfort with both Excel and Word are required. Ability to communicate effectively with staff, other departments, auctions, vendors, charity partners, and donors, spoken and in writing.
