The Billing Specialist is responsible for coordinating the billing and crediting activities of the department.
Responsibilities
A day in the life of a Billing Specialistat Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
- Assists with accounting corrections.
- Maintains the daily charge entry log.
- Monitors the SMS, IDX, HCIS and MISYS files.
- Provides back-up for patient telephone billing.
- Adheres to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies.
Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Computer literate.
