We are currently hiring aPortfolio ManagerinBoston, MA or Remote.

The Portfolio Manager, as part of the Strategic Planning & Programs team, is responsible for driving a coordinated approach to program management across all major projects and initiatives across BBC. This role will drive consistency in how we track and report on our most critical projects, along with being a strategic sounding board to project owners in pressure-testing suggested path forward, driving risk-mitigating actions, providing overview of cross-functional interdependencies etc. This role reports to the Director, Strategic Planning & Programs.

What You'll Do:



  • Project management: Develop and manage multiple, integrated project management plans, manage deadlines and dependencies across concurrent approved project initiatives, and coordinate project team activities in partnership with business project owners. Ensure that all projects are executed on-time, within scope and within budget. Co-manage the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical and business feasibility. Manage and control changes to the project scope, project schedule, project prioritization, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques



  • Project prioritization: Highlight resource trade-offs within and across projects and lay out clear decision process and framework for day-to-day strategic decisions based on rigorous scenario planning to allow for rigorous yet agile decision-making


  • Measurement, Documentation, and Reporting: Accurately measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques. Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals. Accountable for the creation, delivery, and maintenance of all necessary project documentation. Identify, document, and ensure proper management and resolution of all project issues and risks. Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis


  • Strategic sounding board: Develop and maintain close partnerships with key internal stakeholders across BBC in order to be a strategic sounding board to project owners in developing project plans (i.e. defining milestones, specifying targets, outlining deliverables) that are achievable yet stretched, concise and clear enough in scop and approach to be communicated across BBC and clearly outlining actions, resources and investments required to achieve success and drive value


  • Program management approach: Continuous improvement to our BBC program management methodology, findings ways to best balance rigor with agility in how we setup, drive and track our most critical projects and initiatives


  • Talent catalyst: Work closely with Head of Strategic Planning & Programs to make the team a talent hub for future leaders at BBC. Inspire, motivate and mentor our high potential associates on the team to become catalysts for increased strategic thinking and planning across BBC and for them in the future to take on leadership positions across the company

What We're Looking For:


  • 4 year Bachelor's Degree required in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience

  • 4+ years' experience working in the program/project management field

  • Experience managing programs of work or multiple projects at once

  • Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision

  • High attention to detail and meticulous planner

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, experience with project management tools a plus

  • Strong communication skills along with proficiency in PowerPoint to deliver clear and impactful messages

  • Ability to coordinate and drive complex tasks with multiple stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities

  • Natural bias for action and driving priorities forward

  • Ability to educate and influence coworkers and leaders


  • Desired experience:

    • Strong interest in the beer industry

    • Experience from either management consulting or a FMCG company preferred

    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus

    • WorkFront system knowledge and use a plus

    • Familiarity with PowerBI a plus
