Identifies, researches, recommends possible investment, acquisition, merger, alliance, and licensing opportunities for Agilent. May act as a company representative and negotiator with candidate, investment bankers and/or other professional advisors. Monitors enterprise strategy and market dynamics, maintains database of potential interests, and develops issues and investment analyses. Responsible for transaction deal structure, due diligence, negotiation and integration. May recommend corporate objectives, strategies and long-term business plans to achieve financial goals which may include mergers, acquisitions, equity investments, alliances, divestitures and licensing agreements.

Represents company, business or function as expert both internally and externally

Influence, consulting and/or design work has company-wide impact

Identifies/solves complex problems that have high impact on the business, country or the function

Strongly influences strategic direction, long-term goals and objectives of the business, country or company

Leads multi-disciplinary projects or initiatives

Works independently on recommendations and proposals to Senior Management and/or Executives

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Master Degree or University Degree or equivalent.

  • Typically 12+ years relevant experience for entry to this level.

  • Postgraduate and/or certification/license may be required.

  • Requires a highly specialized level of technical expertise or business acumen.

  • Extensive breadth and depth of knowledge arrived through exposure to emerging tech advancements or complex business situations.
