The Westchester Business Analyst is responsible for working in partnership with business stakeholders to understand the business need, define/elaborate the scope, document business requirements and ensure business validation. This Business Analyst will collaborate with IT teams to implement business requirements through project initiatives and maintenance sprints to enable the business to drive revenue growth and/or maintain compliance.
The Westchester Business Analyst will:
Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT employees and vendor partners to deliver business commitments.
Develop, document and maintain detailed requirements and use-case scenarios
Work with the business to identify functional and performance expectations
Understand, predict and prioritize the needs of the business
Assist in the execution of User Acceptance Testing
Participate in prototyping solutions to provide business users with a preliminary evaluation and/or user interface experience
Triage and document reported defects
Prioritize and track all issues to resolution
Escalate issues to project leads as appropriate
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business and IT teams
Consult and interview business product owners and users to gather requirements
Lead business process discussions for the elicitation and documentation of business requirements
Work on multiple projects independently in support of organizational objectives
Keep abreast of latest technologies and participate in designing innovative, cutting edge software solutions.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, other related field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 5 years of IT experience in a comparable role.
Minimum of 3 years in P&C insurance and strong knowledge of the end-to-end policy life cycle.
Background with policy admin system portfolio implementation experience, Duck Creek preferred.
Understanding of Agile delivery methodology and Scrum are desirable.
