Type: Full-Time

Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has just opened for an experienced and compassionate RN Clinical Nursing Supervisor to support this high-volume, high-acuity Heart and Vascular Transplant Critical Care Unit. Apply today, and join a team of dedicated clinicians in one of the Los Angeles Area’s most cutting-edge and progressive non-profit medical centers.

This multi-specialty Critical Care / Intensive Care Transplant Unit, also serving as the hospital’s Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), has a great reputation for high-quality patient outcomes in the LA Area. The Heart Transplant Critical Care Clinical Nursing Supervisor will take direct clinical and managerial control of this high-performing 18-bed unit, and you’ll be accountable for keeping the staff and practice on the path to success.

With CRRT, LVAD, IABP, Impella, and ECMO as just a few of the common CV procedures seen in this Heart and Lung Transplant Critical Care unit, it’s no surprise that staff is dedicated at all hours. The Critical Care Clinical Supervisor will provide vision, leadership, and mentorship to a strong staff of Critical Care Registered Nurses (CCRN), Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC) Nurses, Post Anesthesia RNs, and support staff by focusing on the continuum of care and continuing education.

The Critical Care Clinical Nursing Supervisor will play a crucial role in the clinical and administrative operations of this unit, and of this hospital. You will actively participate in the development and planning of the annual budget for this unit, setting and maintaining target staffing levels, and keeping a close eye on regulatory compliance for the Cardiovascular Transplant Intensive Care Unit.

The chief concerns for any acute care hospital system is, of course, patient safety and satisfaction. If you’re a Transplant Critical Care RN Supervisor who has proved that superior patient outcomes and clinical performance improvement begin with a strong focus on patient safety, this is the right position for you. Your talents will join those of an already outstanding unit as you collaborate across disciplines and departments to ensure that patient care is front and center.

The Transplant Nursing Supervisor will find that Southern California has something for everyone. A short drive west will put you on the beautiful, sunny beaches and warm surf of the Pacific Ocean. Fun weekend getaways like Disneyland, Wild Rivers, and Knott’s Berry Farm are waiting around every corner. A huge number of highly-rated grade schools, secondary schools, and colleges make education (and continuing education) easily accessible. Add to this a wealth of national and state parks nearby, and you have a great place to raise a family.

The Transplant Critical Care Nurse Supervisor will support and oversee the operations of a high-acuity, busy unit. You will provide leadership and guidance to a nursing staff that will make you proud. You will take on many challenges for this medical center, and you will be supported for your hard work. You will receive a great benefits package, including generous PTO, retirement matching, and annual performance based merit increases. You will also receive a competitive compensation, and you will enjoy the fact that you’re making such a huge difference in the lives of so many.
