Job Description:

Standard Forged Products LLC is searching for a Safety focused Quality Inspector in our McKees Rocks, PA facility. Standard Forged Products LLC, a subsidiary of Arcosa Industries, has more than 100 years of experience in supplying America’s leading railcar companies with railcar axles in addition to producing market leading quality industrial forgings.

As a Quality Inspector, you will work with a great group of people who really care about the job you do. Job duties will include the following:

• Make visual and measured inspection of steel products to ensure conformance with quality standards and determines if product meets all requirements.


• May inspect incoming materials, outgoing materials, and final product throughout the manufacturing process.


• May perform destructive or nondestructive tests to verify specified dimension, strengths and other quality factors using measuring instruments and inspection equipment.


• Complete inspection records and reports.


• Ensure product meets appropriate codes and regulations.


• Follow all safety rules and practices.

Skills:

• Proficient in use of measure and test equipment such as scales and micrometers.


• Knowledge related to dimensional inspection of heavy steel forgings a plus.


• Knowledge related to nondestructive testing methods a plus.
