Guy Carpenter is looking for an experienced Contract Associate. The role can be located in Dallas, TX; Tampa, FL, Atlanta, GA; Seattle, WA or New York, NY.

What can you expect?
You will be the primary collaborator with Broking on construction and delivery of contractual documentation for client accounts assigned
We will count on you to:
Manage assigned client base for all aspects of reinsurance contracts, under limited supervision
Assess contracts and perform quality assurance review to ensure contract wording reflects intent of reinsurance negotiations
Recommend coverage and wording enhancements and raises potential coverage issues, as appropriate
Consult with Brokers by providing effective responses to all contract-related inquiries with Client and/or Markets
Research and respond to inquiries from Brokers, Clients and Markets and input contract status data on the electronic document tracking system

What you need to have:
5+ primary insurance or reinsurance contract drafting experience preferred
Bachelor's Degree and applicable experience preferred
Interest in pursuing Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) designation
Knowledge of contract law, contract provisions, reinsurance concepts and principles, basic regulatory controls and general business trends
Strong verbal and writing skills for complex communications (presentations, negotiations, etc.) with clients, markets and Guy Carpenter colleagues at all levels
